Health & Physical Education

At Desert Oasis High School, the Physical Education and Health Department focuses on empowering students to build lifelong habits for a healthy, active, and balanced lifestyle. To meet Nevada graduation requirements, students must complete one semester of Health, which covers essential wellness, nutrition, and mental health concepts, and two full years of Physical Education. Recognizing that students have unique talents and busy schedules, the school offers multiple flexible pathways to earn these PE credits. Families can choose traditional, engaging elective courses like Lifetime Sports or Physical Conditioning, or students can earn credits through active participation on school-sponsored athletic teams, which frees up valuable space in their daily class schedule for other academic or creative interests.
