MUSIC APPRECIATION: The course is for students with little or no musical training and focuses on the historical background of classical music and composers and listening to representative works. Emphasis is on increasing the enjoyment and understanding of a variety of classical musical styles. This dual enrollment course is offered as part of a formal agreement between CCSD and NSHE Institution(s). Instructors must be approved by the partnering institution.

HISTORY OF ROCK MUSIC: The esthetics and sociology of rock from its origins in rhythm and blues to the rise of Elvis Presley and Rock-a-Billy, Chuck Berry and teenage-rock, Bob Dylan and protest rock, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, Psychedelic Rock, and Soul. A: These credits are from an accredited university and are accepted nationally. Students have had these grades transfer to different institutions, such as in-state community colleges, as well as out-of-state schools such as Stanford.
