Computer Science

This one-year course is designed with an emphasis on meeting the requirements of the College Board Advanced Placement Computer Science A examination. This college-level curriculum emphasizes problem solving, design strategies and methodologies, organization of data (data structures), approaches to processing data (algorithms), analysis of potential solutions, and the ethical and social implications of computing. This course fulfills one of the Arts/Humanities/CTE credits required for high school graduation. This course may count towards the College and Career Ready Flex Credit requirements for the Standard Diploma.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Advanced Computer Science II

This completer year-long course is designed for students who have successfully completed Advanced Computer Science I. Areas of emphasis include algorithms, programming, data structures and analysis and networks. This course fulfills one of the Arts/Humanities/CTE credits required for high school graduation. This course may count towards the College and Career Ready Flex Credit requirements for the Standard Diploma.
