Located in the Athletic Hallway | (702) 799-6881 ext 4204Desert Oasis High School offers a dynamic, year-round athletic program spanning three competitive seasons. The action begins in the Fall with sports like tackle football and girls' volleyball, transitions into the Winter with basketball and a dominant girls' flag football program, and wraps up in the Spring with baseball, softball, and track and field. Driven by a culture of excellence, the Diamondbacks have established a true sports dynasty, with both the volleyball and track and field teams consistently capturing multiple state championships year after year.

Athletics Hall of Fame

Purpose & Organization

This organization was founded for the purpose of recognizing individuals who were outstanding athletes or who have made contributions to the athletic program of Desert Oasis High School. These individuals have distinguished themselves as successful adults in their respective careers. Included are those individuals who have received honors through meritorious service in select careers and/or have served as benefactors of mankind. The organization will also recognize outstanding Desert Oasis High School teams whose accomplishments will stand the test of time.

Inaugral Class - Class of 2024

Criteria & Nominations

The record of contribution of the individual or team must be so outstanding that there is no question as to qualifying for the Hall of Fame.

A. Desert Oasis High School Athlete

1. Minimum of five(5) years since graduation from DOHS.
2. Must have earned at least one(1) varsity letter.

B. Desert Oasis Coach, Teacher, Administrator, Staff Member, or Official.

1. Minimum of two (2) years after leaving Desert Oasis High School.
2. The contribution may be significant in quality, time, or a combination of both.

C. Member of the Community

1. Significant contribution to the DOHS athletic program.
2. The contribution may be significant in quality, time, or a combination of both.

D. Desert Oasis High School Team

1. The accomplishment(s) of the must be able to stand the test of time in order to fairly compare the success of the team to other DOHS teams in interscholastic competition.
2. A minimum of five (5) years must have passed since the completion of the season.

E. Character

1. The Selection Committee will carefully consider the citizenship of the nominee in all categories. (except in cases of team recognition)
2. The nominee must be considered a good citizen and role model for the youth of our community.

Nomination Procedures

Membership of the Selection Committee

The Selection Committee is made up of eight (8) members.

A. DOHS Athletic Director (committee chairman)
B. DOHS Athletic Administrator
C. DOHS Principal
D. DOHS Faculty Member
E. Four (4) Members at Large
1. One (1) must be a DOHS teacher.
2. One (1) or more must be female.
3. The term of the Member at Large will be five (5) years or until such time as the member is no longer a member of the DOHS community.
4. The Members at Large will be initially appointed by the DOHS Athletic Hall of Fame Organizational Committee. When the term of a Member at Large has been completed, the Selection Committee will appoint a replacement.
