How We D.O.

• All students are required to exit the building at 2:41 PM
• Students who participate in after-school activities, athletics, tutoring, etc., must exit the building at the end of the normal school day. 
• Students will re-enter through the front of the building and check in through Minga.

• Please review the Traffic Flow Map below for student drop-off and pick-up.
• From West Erie, use Zone 1 for pickup and drop-off.
• Zone 2 is available for student drop-off and pick-up only when Zone 1 is inaccessible.
• From W. Levi, use Zone 3 for pickup and drop-off. 
• U-turns are not allowed anywhere within a school zone.
• Students will enter through the front entrance and athletics doors.

   

• Bicycles and E-Bikes must be stored in the bike rack in front of the Athletic entrance located on the west side of the school.
• Skateboards, scooters, and other individual modes of transportation must be stored in the skateboard racks installed in front of the school and by the Athletic entrance. 
• Desert Oasis High School is not liable or responsible for any theft of personal property. Students are encouraged to secure their property with a lock within the designated location.
  • Students are responsible for supplying their own lock.

• Desert Oasis High School and all Clark County Schools are a closed campus. 
• All students, including bus riders, must enter through the designated doors at the Main Entrance or at the Athletics Entrance of the school.
• Students must scan their ID Badge upon each entry. 
• Students are not permitted to exit any exterior door between school hours, including lunch periods, unless they are checked out in the Main Office by a parent or guardian.
• Students are not permitted to open any exterior door for any reason.
• Students are not permitted to accept orders from any delivery service during school hours, e.g., Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc.
• If a delivery is attempted, the items will be held at the Student Success Center for pickup at the end of the school day.

DOHS Closed Campus policy

• All students may enter through the Main Entrance or the Athletics Entrance until 8:30 a.m.
• At 8:30 a.m., all students must enter through the Main Entrance. 
• All students are REQUIRED to wear their school-provided I.D. badge on a lanyard around their neck at all times.
  • Students who fail to adhere to this requirement will be required to purchase a new I.D. badge
    • Parents/Guardians are notified via Minga in real time when a student does not bring their I.D. badge, and a fine is assigned to their account.
• Students will not be permitted to enter the building or a classroom without a badge.
  • Students without badges will be directed to the Student Success Center to receive a new badge. If students have already received an ID on the same day, progressive discipline will occur for insubordination.

General Parking:

• Desert Oasis High School encourages all visitors to campus to use the dedicated reserved visitor spots located off of West Erie Avenue in the parking lot and spots labeled visitor.
• All visitors and guests must check into the front office to receive a visitor badge during regular school hours.
• Parents/guardians may park in the visitor parking spaces at the front of the school or in the designated parent parking area.

Student Parking Permits:

• All students must have a parking decal to park in the student parking lot. 
• Students are not permitted to park in the designated staff areas.
• Seniors who purchased a parking space must also obtain a parking decal.
